Our love story first began when my cousin introduced Christian and me to each other. We were immediately drawn to each other over common interests and later began dating. What started out as an beautiful friendship soon blossomed into true love.
Christian knew I was “the one” after he realized my heart belonged to God. In November 2016, he got down on one knee and surprised me with a proposal in front of his entire family. In a heartbeat, I said “YES!” For 10 months, our wedding plans were in full force and on September 30, 2017 our dreams came to life.
I was so eager to walk down the aisle alongside my parents to my beloved groom. We exchanged vows, led by Pastor Limas, before saying “I do” and this was followed by our first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Rios. Our church exit was highlighted by our friends and family paving the path with gold confetti on both sides of us.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the outdoor reception venue where tables were dressed in ivory and champagne linens. From the soft pink flower arrangements, to the traditional Mexican cuisine, the reception was nothing short of amazing! Sounds of classical saxophone music followed by a live Christian band, made for a romantic and fun atmosphere.
After dinner, all eyes turned to the bride and groom who shared their first dance as husband and wife. The first dance took place under the twinkling stars and chandelier lighting that served as the roof of our reception. My father-daughter dance immediately followed and neither I nor my dad could’ve anticipated the overwhelming flood of emotions that we would experience as my father realized his baby girl was now a wife.
Before closing out the night, we made sure to include the traditional garter and bouquet toss and thanked our guests for sharing our special day. Overall, our wedding day turned out to be more magical than I could have ever imagined. Everything was made possible by our love and respect for each other, the support of our parents and by our wedding planner, whose attention to detail made our day so special. We thank God for crossing our paths and blessing our marriage in every way. We both agree that it was the most perfect, magical night full of love, laughter and memories to last a lifetime. This is our love story….
